Aurora Vite discovered the world of painting when she was 8 years old. While her parents thought it wise for her to follow other lines of study, her heart was in creating, so by 15, she was concentrating on her beloved art classes.
“In college I studied fashion design, then graphic design, but my passion is in teaching art,” Garcia said.
With years of experience teaching in universities in Mexico, after moving to McAllen she decided to pursue her passion once more.
“My principal work is with kids. I teach techniques in pencil, charcoal, pastel, acrylic, water and oil paint. I show them how to apply those techniques in their art. I like to use animals in class – the colors in nature, the combination of all those colors.”
Teaching classes in both English and Spanish with children from 6 to 15 years old, she also teaces adults. Call for class times.
