Art Walk to continue virtually from Sept-May 2021

The Art walk is one of those events that unifies the community, improves the well-being of our society and has a collective impact on our lives. The event brings awareness of galleries, retail businesses and restaurants around the Rio Grande Valley.

“Although we are unable to gather, McA2 continues its goal to pave a way for artists to express their artistic passion, increase interest in the arts, and promote awareness in appreciation of all art and culture. Art Walk at the Incubator has always been a family-friendly event, now enjoyed in the convenience of your home,” said Laura Robles, Cultural Arts and Incubator Coordinator.

The Virtual Art Walk is Sponsored by the City of McAllen, supported by the McAllen Chamber of commerce and hosted by McAllen Creative Incubator Tenants, Angelika Eleni, McAllen Irish Arts, & Victoria Lopez, Poetry On Demand in collaboration with Joe Martinez, of KCYP and Stephen Samuel Lopez who handled the technical aspect of this virtual art walk. We could not have done this Summer Series without this team.

The Art Walk will continue virtually for a one-hour show, through-out its regular season from September to May. McA2 seeks to collaborate with artists, art centers, businesses and schools around the valley to highlight their works. Join the next virtual art walk by submitting a 5-6 min creative video through the google form: https://forms.gle/GCQVpTqW49Fr9ggy7 Videos must be creative or educational in content.  Angelika & Victoria will give a brief introduction before airing each video using the information you provide in this form.

While we social distance for safety, we can create, learn, perform, and connect as a community in this new inspiring way.  There is no participation fee. Contact Laura Robles at 956-687-2787 or via email lrobles@visitmcallen.com.

The next show is on September 4, 2020 @6pm. Past shows remain on the Incubators YouTube channel permanently.
