The mission of colibrí music sutdios and children’s choir is to empower children to create beauty and harmony in their lives and the world through music. Teaching children ages 5 to 18, Carol J. Brown’s passion is to teach children to sing.

During weekly choral rehearsals, students learn to read music, sing in parts, sing in English and many foreign languages, practice ear training, and develop their singing techniques.

“I’ve been an elementary music teach for 26+ years. Ever since studying with Dr. Mary Goetze ad Indiana University, a leader in the children’s choir movement, my great love has been children’s choir. I really feel a children’s choir can be one of the crown jewels of a city,” Brown explained.

Choir members will enhance their music appreciation through the different styles of music performed, gaining a good foundation in music whether their performance areas are instrumentalists or singers.

Summer coir camp is an opportunity for advanced training during an intensive five day period.
