Virginia Haynie Gause, owner of ArtsRGV.com, has been calendaring Valley Arts and Cultural events since 2006. She produces a weekly email snapshot of events occurring Thursday through Wednesday. The ArtsRGV calendar is unique in that it features events from all four counties of the Rio Grande Valley (Hidalgo, Cameron, Starr and Willacy) and not just a single city.

She calls herself an emerging writer although she has already co-produced two books — a cookbook and a guidebook to Oaxaca, Mexico. Also a published writer of travel articles of Texas cities and Mexico, Virginia uses the Incubator as her home base. Including all four Valley counties, she is writing her next book – The Trailblazer’s Guide to the Rio Grande Valley.

After working 42 years as a librarian at UTRGV, she’ll use her local contacts to help fill the chapters of her book with the goal of helping tourists enjoy their Valley visit to the fullest. A few chapter categories will be Craft Beer, Healthy Eating, Public Transportation, and Day Trips.

Working with her many connections, she will offer writer’s workshops. Email for current class times.
