The 2nd annual South Texas Irish Festival has been officially announced for 2022! This is a free, community event hosted by McAllen Irish Arts, a traditional Irish music and dance organization at the McAllen Creative Incubator. The fest brings the Irish, Scottish, and Celtic cultural arts to the Rio Grande Valley and is the first of its kind in this region via food, drink, music, and dance. The event will present a vendor market, featured chef, all day entertainment, exhibits, and family activities that represent the Irish cultural arts community of South Texas as well as promote local business. This year, the event takes place April 2, 2022 at the McAllen Creative Incubator (601 N Main St.) from 12pm to 7pm. It is family friendly and welcomes all ages. This cultural celebration takes place at the heart of the McAllen Arts district surrounded by well-loved local establishments and artists.A call for vendors and sponsors has been announced, as well as artists for a themed interactive community art gallery collaboration to be installed as a feature of the festival and will remain on display the entire month of April.
