“You Are The Universe Experiencing Itself”

During Art Walk, in the Arts District, you can find upcoming artist exhibiting their works in different venues. Thru art walk, McAllen paves the way for artists to express their artistic passion, increase interest in the arts, and promote awareness in appreciation of all art and culture.

Danielle Villarreal is a designer, painter & entrepreneur. She took her first painting class in 2006 as a high school senior & realized very quickly painting was her passion. After moving to Austin to pursue design school, Danielle picked up a paintbrush in her free time & began painting space. Space was a common theme for her as it helped her to learn more about the cosmos. In the process of exploring the stars, it instilled a deep self-awareness that has launched her spiritual journey. At age 24, she created her first business called Own The Sky, an Etsy shop featuring handmade cosmic-inspired home decor, gifts, art & jewelry. Her products have been featured on Buzzfeed, My Modern Met & San Antonio Magazine, etc. She received a Bachelor’s of Art in Graphic Design from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio. She currently lives in Austin with her deaf dog, Mars.

Connecting with others through the stars confirms her beliefs that we are all one with the universe. We are made of stars.

The public is invited to visit the exhibit and meet the Artists on January 7, 2022 from 7pm-9pm at 601 N. Main Street, McAllen. Exhibit will be on display at the Incubator until January 27, 2022.
